Closing Paris Haute Couture Week, Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli present a showing of iridescent materials, ruffles and long and loose-fitting silhouettes. A couture dream featuring feminine frocks of lace and muted hues paired with oversize collars–the magic is in the details for Valentino’s spring couture outing.

The spring collection is absolutely AMAZING. I recently had a conversation with a young fashion student. We engaged in the great debate of what FASHION is and how NEW designers are trying to make their mark. The Valentino collection is a great illustrious blueprint for emerging designers. The style, fabrications and craftsmanship show us all that true fashion is classic, sleek and memorable. Not, overdone, overworked and over-merchadised. Enjoy!
